Dave McComiskey

A seasoned executive and board member with over 25 years of lived experience, governance isn’t a theoretical exercise to Dave. He’s seen both sides of the coin: how quickly bad governance can destroy an organization – and how good governance can truly bring it to life. As Vice President of Governance & Leadership, Dave lives for the lightbulb moment when clients fully realize the difference his help has made to their organization.

Prior to joining Governance Solutions, Dave’s was the international President and CEO of one the world’s largest non-government organisations, where he successfully developed and implemented a strategy for the inclusion of persons with disabilities in development work in sub-Saharan Africa.

A graduate of the Professional Director Program, Dave also holds a degree in Commerce and Finance from the University of Toronto, a Masters in Leadership from Trinity Western University, and is a qualified facilitator of the Leadership Challenge Workshop.

Dave has conducted leadership development programs around the world and lived in South Africa, Kenya, and Germany. Outside work, Dave enjoys golf and remains active in the non-profit world as the board chair of an international relief and development charity.
